Genesis - first selfbow
«

After much reading, watching and learning (still don't know much) I decided to try my hand at building a red oak board bow. Just a few pics if y'all don't mind.66" and 55@29 with about 2" of set on each end. Got enough materials to do another when time is available :D
after a little tuning 1st three shots
and last 3 of 30.
Feel pretty stinking good about it. Lot's of fun and hopefully the next one will be a little nicer.

Rugged looking,,, I like it. Brace looks a bit high. Full draw pic does help us see your results better.

Thanks guys, brace is about 6 5/8 with a new dacron string on it. I figured I'd get a little stretch and get close to 6 1/2 or so. Kinda working off of hill and northern mist LB's at same length. Should it be lower?
