this is an ELB 71"ttt 70"ntn 55@28 maple backed garapa. garapa is a cheap version alternative to ipe. so the sales lady said. tips and arrow pass are cow horn hoof form a farm supply store.(non smoked ones). handle is built up with leather to give it the bulbous look I like so well. grip is black leather from a goodwill skirt. and string is dacron b50. hope you like it.

Sweet looking bow, Garapa Gold, I've used it on a deck, looks great on a bow. Heavy wood, tough on tools, went through lots of drill bits.

Awesome lookin bow. I really like those ELB styles. I got a maple backed cherry goin right now, my first time tryin maple as a backing, looks like it worked good for you.

thank you guys It really means alot to have other people like what I made. Butch, yep thats the stuff. the place I went to has afromosia too, hmmmmm, I see another bow in the works. lol. ya Bill I love the d bows too. not just d-bellied d-bows but all d-tillered bows. something about the continuous curve that is hypnotic. lol. thanks again everyone.
