hickory backed birdseye

heres one i finished couple days ago havent had time to post here yet. hickory backed ,maple core birdseye maple belly.
 
 
 
 
 [/IMG]  62 inches tip to tip with walnut overlays and handle lams . also walnut power lam. 47 lbs at 28 inches

I was almost as captured by the spring look in the background as I was by the gorgeous bow in the foreground!  :)  The cold seems to keep hang'n on around here. It's beautiful in Georgia this time of year!

Let us know how the Birdseye holds up under compression.  After some bad things happening with some Curly Maple I stopped using really figured wood for belly's.  

Nice looking bow, really nice.
