A few years ago a friend owned an archery shop. He worked on and sold compounds, traditional longbows and recurves and a few of my self and backed wood bows. When a customer came looking for a bow, Alan would find out what he wanted and expected and if he was looking for a wood bow, Alan would educate them in the care and treatment of a self or backed wood bow.
Alan probably sold 12 to 15 of my bows in the few years he was open and I only had to replace one bow that was obviously strung backwards even thought the guy swore he didn't.
If you are going into the bow building and selling business be sure you cover all bases and be ready for any possible adversities...or don't get in the business.
