When I made my first bows from "Binghams Projects" I wanted a bow longer than the 60" plans he had available for a one piece recurve. I wanted to build a 68" recurve but did not want a take down model. So mentioning this to Mr. Bingham, I told him my riser was to be 29" long, and each limb would be 19 1/2" long for a total of 68" nock to nock. He figured out what the proper thickness of the materials should be for a 2" width bow. It came out at 41# @ 28". So far, I have built 2 bows with this form, and I'am working on bows 3 and 4. This 2" form I built completely from his plans, but in the future I want to go to forms that are 1 3/4" wide because there is a product available from lumber yards called "LVL" which is used over doors, and windows in new construction of housing. I have heard of many other bowyers on this forum, and others that have had great success with this product. It is all glued up to the proper thickness, but I still would put in wood screws when using it, just to be on the safe side. Good luck with your bow. John
