A Sapling Bow is a Good idea, hadnt thought about that. Thanks for the Info Semo!! I do remember now seeing a Post about such a Thing. I considered a 3/8 Dowel at 36", just to make something Quick and Dirty. I have one, but I hate to use it, especially after she latched onto the First Attempt!! "Fix It PaPaw! You Can Do It!!"
hahaha Bless Her Little Heart!!!
I do believe it is White Oak, because it isnt Red, or Black. Black Oak would have much darker Grain wouldnt it?
CJ, I saw the Steep Grain Runs, and just Crossed My Fingers since it will only be Pulling around 3 Pounds. All I can do is be Really Careful, and Take My Time. If it Blows, then it Blows. Then back to "Try, Try Again!" until I get it Right!! I think the Wee Robin Hoodlet deserves the Best I can do.
Besides, once I get the Little Bows Down, I just may have enough Self-Courage to Start a Big Bow for Me!! hahaha I have a Nice Hickory Stave that was Gifted to Me, plus a You-Finish-It Bow from Wingnut. Boo Backed Something.....It Escapes my Pea Brain at the moment. I have slept a Time or 2 since I bought it. hahaha
