spruce lams
« on: April 29, 2011, 04:21:00 AM »
hi guys,

i have bought some spruce lams yesterday.
3 X 30 X 950 mm (6 of them) and 5 X 30 X 950 mm (two of them).
do you think spruce is good enough to build a laminated bow.

layers are like this from top to down for one limb:

->denim backing (if i can find bamboo backing, not very hopefully)
->3 mm spruce
->5 mm spruce

i have checked its elasticity values it is very close to maple.
these are not the droids you are looking for.
