New bow in its finishing stages

I haven't taken the full draw pics yet. It is 50# at 28" 66" NTN it has some good zip with the added reflex/ deflex design.

That looks real nice Lester. Those 2 woods compliment each other nicely and did you notice if the IPE was unusually oily over other woods?

Mind if I ask where you get the IPE? I looked at Lowes and it's a special order thing and minimum 1 bundle order. It's outrageously expensive, I just need a piece or two to play around with before buying anymore and see if I like it.

Maybe you could point me in the right direction?

The Ipe is pretty oily and takes time to dry the finish. I have brazilian walnut hard wood floors which is Ipe and they say it is 10X harder than oak you can see it when you start to file it out and work with it. I will PM you to let you know where I get it.

semo,
go to a decking supply store. Ipe is very popular for decks because because of how well it takes being wet. you can usually buy individual boards. expect to pay about 3 dollars a ft though. still for the price, if you have a decent bandsaw, you can cut 6 bows from one board.

This bow has settled in at 2 1/2 inches at the tips. It is 50# at 28"after about 100 shots or so.66"NTN
