Osage bow for Dad
« on: June 06, 2011, 05:30:00 PM »
Heres one I just finished up for my Dad. Its 48# at 28" and 64"ntn. He always seems to like the character in some of my osage bows so I figure he'll enjoy this one. It has a big wiggle right at the tip on the top limb. I've shot it some and it seems to shoot good but its kinda hard to tell since I'm not that good at shootin lefty. Thanks for lookin.

Nice circular tiller.

I have always wondered if that was a good way to put a shelf in a selfbow.

I do that on a backed bow.  I might try that on my next selfbow.

Gave the bow to my dad yesterday and I cant really explain how excited he was. He shot it quite a bit and his accuracy and consistency really surprised me. He was a longbow hunter back in the 70's but like a lot of others went with the trend and converted to compound and then to crossbow. I think I might have him going back in a different direction now.
