No hog hunting here. The Game and Parks wants what few feral hogs we have gone, but have made it illegal to hunt them. Go figure.

The whole thing comes down to a game farm that wanted to offer hunts for them. The G&P didn't want them too, so that's how they got it stopped. Make it illegal everywhere. The last I knew there were still some running around in far south central Ne. on public ground.

Kansas doesn't want them hunted either...just had the USDA come in and kill off an entire herd of 'em in our county. I realize that they can do a lot of harm to the habitat, but it seems like it would make sense to let people hunt 'em and utilize the meat....maybe they figure we're not "good" enough to keep the numbers down....

Thanks guys. I can see why they want to remove the invasive species quickly but don't see why they make it illegal to harvest them.

They made it illegal to hunt them in an effort to take away the incentive for people who insist on illegally importing them and turning them loose.
