50 grit on the big belt sander, round end. I knock all the edges down to wood, then drum sand it to the finished width I plan, squaring it up and making the blank. At that point I can pull the tape and see what I've got and if all's well, I'm ready to retape with white tape and draft the bow onto the blank, then grind it out to shape with the sander again, using the round end to rough it out close to the lines, then the 40" flat side to to finish. I never touch a bandsaw blade to glass, not even to trim a limb end, gets too expensive. Hacksaw for that.
