I am definately going to try that duc tape idea.  That may be the best solution for those rainy days in the woods.  :D

A friend of the family brought his homemade setup to the 4th of july party here this summer. He made his bow last winter and all of his arrows are dowel rods from men ards. What really shocked me was the ductape fletchings. Well to make a long story short, the arrows flew amazingly great. They really did surprise me for sure. He handed me his bow that I had never shot before and told me to aim at a dandilion in the yard. I missed by a lil bit. He then told me to aim at the arrow with my second shot. I of course followed his directions because I "knew" for a fact that there would be no way that I would actually hit that arrow. I was a lil wrong it turns out. But what I am getting at is the fact that the arrows flew great with the ductape fletchings and 9mm blunts. Granted I did not Robinhood the arrow but I did hit it. By the way this is a great looking bow. Wasn't trying to hi-jack the thread with my story but I am still in kinda a shock about the ductape fletchings. Mike

Believe it or not the "HARDWAY" is often the EASIER way(in hindsight)!

yeah it will hold up much better than craft store feathers , and depending on how you do it , i bet they would last for quite some time.

and they probably go past a shelf nicely as well...
