So my buddy Will and I decided to set aside some time to glue up a couple of bows last week. That day we decided on was today. Two BBI both from the Torges video dimentions. Mine not so exact...
Will's I don't think you could tell if it was off a micrometer.
Both have the deflex starting 13" from the centerline on the bottom limb and 12 3/8" on the upper limb. Down an 1" on mine and 1 1/2" on Will's. The reflex was 2" on mine and 2 1/2" on Will's. Used Urac 185 on both. We will see how they turn out.
I'll be building my first bow for another person that don't know much about. He has shot little before but is extremely motivated because he is having a son in a month and would love to teach him about shooting a bow. Manly things. So that's the time frame I'm working with. He said that I have a clean slate and no specifics to work with on draw length and weight. Shooting for 40-45lbs @ 28" but I'll tiller it to 30" to be sure. He will most likely just target shoot but potentially hunt in the future. Any other comments on someone who has been in a similar situation building a bow would be great.

Here's my son and I looking at the trade bows. I think we both happened to be looking at Keenan's bow at the time the picture was taken by mom.
