TakeDown Recurve Bow Plans
« on: September 30, 2011, 09:26:00 AM »
I'd really like to try my hand at a TakeDown recurve as it seems to be a little less complicated than a Traditional Recurve.

Does anyone know where I can find PDF plans for the limb shape and possibly limb thickness to weight ratio?

I'll second Binghams - great plans.

As far as it being less complicated than a Traditional Recurve, I'd have to disagree.  You really need to get the holes for the limb bolts and alignment pins perfect on the riser and limbs.

Try John at Oldmastercrafters, Waukegan, IL
He has some good plans and can help you with all your material.  Tell him Dave sent you and he'll take care of you.
