What is your spray finishing set up?

I am looking to pick up the gear to do Thunderbird finishing and was wondering what kind/size compressor you have, type of spray gun etc. I really would rather not have to get a huge compressor to get it done...
What are you guys using?
Thanks

I use a cheap touch up gun and a Sears Craftsman compressor. Prep, spray technique, dust and overspray control, etc is more important than specific guns and compressors in regards to professional, or better, finish quality. IMO.

Beachbowhunter... Thunderbird is very forgiving and you can use any type set up. Spray is preferred, but you can even apply this with a foam brush, air brush, touch up or full blown gear.. Bowjunkie is right about the preps more important than the actual equipment you use.

My biggest concern is the compressor size. I don't have room for a big one. What size can you get away with? Harborfreight has a pretty cool airbrush/compressor set that is small, but I worry that it would be too small...

Harbor freight has an HVLP gun seriously cheap. the trick to spraying the epoxy finishes is make sure you use a 1.4 tip size... those little detail guns typically come with a 1.0 tip size and you'll need to thin your material way down to get it to work. if you even can get it to work...
trust me... a 1.3 or 1.4 is as small as you want to go....
