limb lenght ?

Makeing a bow (second one) for my son for Christmas. I just found I made one of the string nocks a little further from the riser then the other( 1/2 inch).Ive read on here some guys make one limb longer  then the other but iam not sure if its the top or bottom and how much longer they make it.This is a three piece take down.I still may be able to figure out how to make them even, iam gluing the overlays on now.

Also, check your tiller to see if the lower limb is the stronger one.  It almost certainly is with the extra 1/2" in the upper,  but now is the time to check!  I do all of my tillering and nock placement decisions before picking upper and lower limbs.

Some of the "big" companies will make the top limb 1/4" longer for positive tiller.

So what monterey said... stronger limb below, longer limb on top.  You can always place the bolt placement 1/8" lower on the top limb to suck up some of that 1/2".. the file your nock groves another 1/8" lower.. that will leave you with 1/4".

Just some ideas.
