need osage stave thats ready..
« on: November 21, 2011, 08:20:00 PM »
where can I get a decent osage stave thats ready to start making it into the bow.  I don't have a dry box but I do have my tools and my bow horse.

my old friend who I used to make bows with had all the dry boxs so I have to wing it and find somethign that if not perfect in the moisture content is pretty close IF POSSIBLE,,  who sells them or who trades them?

I would also recommend rattlestick.

If I were starting out, I'd get one from Gary Davis. It may seem pricey, but it will be a good'un. They're guaranteed too.
