I don't think there's room for you, me and the buzzard, Roy.
Oh, you meant ME!   :knothead:

Wel,  Not exactly what I did today, but hope "Over the weekend" counts. We had our 5th annual Central Oregon Bowyers Gathering.

Cool, Keenan. I hope to attend something like that some day. I've read many posts about OJAM, the Tennessee Classic and all. It really sounds like tons of fun.

Worked on my hickory backed ipe. Finished the day off shooting a nail into index and middle finger. Luckily missing the bones for the most part.  Looks like im tillering one handed for a bit.

Hey Roy, I could do that, but I've already promised him the bow and he said he wouldn't mind, even if it was all crap.  d:-D

BTW I think the bow looks kind of acceptable. At least way better than me...

DSCN0129.jpg  I went out aand cut some birch staves. I don't know if the picture will work, but I got half a pickup load home and will go back tomorrow and get the same amount again. All from one tree. I'm a happy camper.
Don't know how I got here and don't know where i'm going, but life is grand.

Finishing up bow #139 today, finished the tiller and the bamboo staining in the last few days. I need to do the finish sanding this evening and get the first coat of tru-oil on the bow.

This is a thank-you bow for a guy who has really worked hard to promote traditional archery. He doesn't know about the bow, yet.........

All dressed up in my Tuxedo, heading out for my daughters wedding this afternoon.. I look purty spiffy if I might say.

The wedding is outside and the reception is in a huge old restored barn.. I'll be checking out all the wooden beams, thinking of bows I could build from them...

Roy, I hope you made the wedding on time. I wouldn't have been surprised if you daughter gave you the wrong address to keep you from stealing all the attention on 'her day'! LOL

I built a new tree and came up with a simple way to pull a string more like my fingers and less like a hook.

My new tree.

and here I punched a hole in about a 2" square piece of leather after I folded it in half. Now I just fold it over the string and put the hook on my exercise string or scale and it pulls more like fingers then a single thing point.

Well I got my trad bow pulling to about 17" and about 30#. Just hope the weight comes up on it. I have over 10" to go.

40# @ 20" is a good target for a 50-55# @ 28" bow Kelly. I'd say your right there as long as no suprises pop up.

I went to a bachelor party over the weeksnd and am recovering. I'm not 21 anymore but like the song says I'm as good once as I ever was!  Sorry, no pics! ;-)
