I swept my shop after reading keenans post then almost got to work on a bow. Then dad called and i dug up a waterline for repair work. Fun fun. Ill get some shop time tonight after the kids go to bed.

I went to Cabela's in Hamburg, PA today.  I was checking out the Bear Kodiak Magnums they had.  Bear has come a good ways in getting back in touch with traditional shooters, but their bows of today still don't compare to those of days gone by.  There's something about the new ones that just looks cheap to me compared to the old ones.

Cut out a gray actionwood riser, for a 68" longbow, zebrawood under clear glass, should look good.... (worked outside in 70 degree weather) (didnt have to clean the shop).... its on the list....  :campfire:

I prepared a lamination stack to glue up tonight....This is going to be a bit of an experiment, a glass laminated ELB (no riser, bend through the handle).  We will see how it comes out tomorrow.

Back from the shoot. 25 shooters and I was the only one shooting a wooden bow. I need to move to Montana or Missouri and shoot with real trad guys:) I hear them girls in Montana drink Raspberry beer and kin pull back 40 pound bows without farten:)

I started another bow. It will jave to quick dry because im impatient and currently bored with every other project i have going on. I like having options until one calls me out.

Roy, we gotta get you here for mojam. Thats where the wood bows get shot. We even do some night shooting from time to time. Brock is usually in bed for all that fun though!

Farten is half the fun...I was once at an indoor range with about ten compounders on the line and pulled back on my bow ripping a long and continuous blast of butt gas.  Not many in the ten ring that round...

Hahaha! Thats funny right there. The thought of your face... Eyes squeezed shut from the strain of that 35 pounder, sweat running down ypur face... all the wheelie guys stop and just watch and then, then, boom! Hit with the gas. Of course after the shot look right at the vuy next to you and say to him as serious as a heart attack, "I thought of you the whole time." Then just keep shooting. Lol!

worked on my recurve, did a little work on 2 piece snaky bow that started out as a 1 piece until it decide to be a 2 piece.

Took my Bride out for dinner and a movie then dropped in here to see what was going on.

Here's a few pics of the TD
