Roy, Thats not very nice.
You better put yourself on your list.

I cleaned up 2 more pair of 25yr old billets this past weekend and today. I am looking for something wide for a Grum build, and all I can get so far is some stuff for a normal width Longbow. I will keep splitting and chasing.

Now if you can watch the video clip "Splitting Staves with Captain Sissy Pants" you'll have it made. Sorry David I just had to throw that one out there

Hey Kenny, ah never mind:)

Captain David Sissy Pants it will be from here on out!

Good one Keenan:)

Today I flipped the tips on a BBO.

Got the Boo planed down and toothing planed.

Tapered the belly slat and toothing planed it.

But for some dumb reason, when I heated the tips to flip em, I ran the heat gun down the limbs a bit too far. That caused the limbs to take a bend back to where they were when I first heat treated them to get them straight. Now I gotta correct them again. Damn Beer and Heat Guns don't mix:)        :knothead:

Today I Z-spliced Pearly Boys belly wood together.

Then I started working on an Osage Selfbow I've had cut to shape for a year.

Lines up perfect.

Got the string grooves cut in.

Drank a few beers today, then came inside and cooked Momma dinner so it was ready when she got home from work. Purty smart of me HUH? :)

The world must be ending on the 21st. Roy is making an osage selfer. The best part about making dinner is getting to eat somethin you like.

I heated up a few bows and filtered a few a bit, and I'm thinking of putting some rawhide on a little sapwood bow that has me worried.

And I shot my bow. Boa season is over on the 15th of Jan. And I wanna take two more.
