I just picked up 3 pieces of IPE 72" x 1"x1.5" and am pondering what to do with them. Sure is some heavy stuff! I bought a craftsman 10" bandsaw the other day and am itching to make something special. I think you fine fellows have used this in several bows-- what do you think would give me the best chance of turning out a successful bow?

Well it was nlast night, But....

i was one proud papa, went and watched my oldest (16) play the bagpipes in his first performance.
He looked good in full outfit, even a 6'3" boy looks manly in a kilt.

Did the old heart good to see how hard he has worked, and how good he has become at it, sure did not sound that way at first.

One talented kid, can build a computer from apile of junk, play a saxaphone, the basson, and the bagpipes, and a good shot with his old .22 too  :bigsmyl:

His little sisiter jus signed up for lessons to learn how to do nhighland(scottish) dancing, greta bunch I got thats for sure.

Then went to bed a dreamed of a new bow I want to build.

This wasn't part of my day but it took place in my wife's pre-school class this morning.
While working with a few of her three-year-olds my wife got a whiff of an unpleasant odor. Looking to one of the little fellows she asked,"Brandon, did you potty in your pants?"
"No, Ms. B."  She asked the second little fellow,"Steven, did you potty in your pants?"
"No, ma'am."
The third student was a beautiful little girl. Maddy looked up and said, "Me neither, Ms.B...I just farted."
And they all continued to play as if nothing out of the ordinary had taken place.
