I'm sorting through multiple archery tackle boxes and a couple drawers full of stuff.  Gonna put all the stuff I don't want or need in a single sack and sell it on the classifieds.  :)

Started a haversack this morning and finished this evening. I made one a few months ago and it wasn't big enough. I can get my camera and all my stuff in this one for a day in the woods.

Worked on gathering up materials for a air filtration system for my shop. Went to Menards and bought filters. Already had a sheet of 3/4" plywood and a blower out of a furnace. Hope to start on it tomorrow. I have a dust collector with a 5 micron bag but it don't get it all.
Hoping this keeps the shop a little cleaner.
Then hopefully it is back to bows.
Take care,
Ed

Made a couple of Christmas ornaments on my new scroll saw then went to my Brother in law's shop where I am building a 16' trailer.

So far it has gone from this -

To this -

Cleaning it up for paint now...  I'm anxious to get it done so I can get back in my woodshop regularly!

Morning til early afternoon I did absolutly nothing at all then went hunting, shot a big fat doe, brought it home to show the boy then off to the butcher. It was a shotgun kill unfortunatly but here in NH it's tough to get a deer even with a gun. I have hunted hard and this was the very first deer I saw in the woods all season. Usually I at least see a few tail sections running away per week but this has been a weird year.

I have fallen off the bowyers bench since my trade bow was done in I think in june. Just been really bussy with work and life. Today I proccessed some elk sinew to dry and looked long and hard at a piece of juniper that I just can't find a bow layout in it yet!

I finished and photographed a St Croix 6 wt flyrod for one of my best customers.  I will post pictures tomorrow after I present him with it tonight.  Don't want to spoil the surprise.  Then I drank me a Raspberry Shock Top....(heh heh heh)

Well I did the same thing I’ve been doing everyday from the second week of October. Trying to find a job, without a lot of hope.
People need to get a life. That dose not mean to take someone else’s, or to make one they can't support.

I glued up a handle riser on a board bow my science classes are taking turns on making.  Hopefully some day we'll have enough tools and wood to allow everyone to have a bow each... That will be around 80 to 90 bows at once!
When we finish these two bows I'm gonna have a drawing and give one to a male student and one to a female student.
An interesting observation- Last week as the students were taking turns using the drawknife, the BEST at 'knifing was a cheerleader.  Candace watched me show a few kids and when her time came she was all concentration and smooth as silk with the blade.  I was tickled to death!
The rasp was a challenge to most of them but they did okay after awhile.  Friday will be the next day we try the team effort a little more. Wish us luck.

Its true we like our light rods...that one though is a 6 weight and hopefully this weekend it will be pulling at least a couple five pounders out of the mighty Big Horn...alas its not my rod.  I have a six weight orvis I like to use and a 3 weight for our little brookie creeks.  Now that its done though I can start to work on the boo and ipe i have stacked around and get my next bow built.  Funny that I dont have one of my own built to shoot...son and daughter sure like the ones I gave them though.
