Meatloaf must not have turned out?

I just got done putting some flo orange wraps on a half dozen carbons.  Now to glue on the reinforcements and then glue in the inserts.  Might fletch em later this week so I can go fling em at bunnies.  Might even have to break out the forty five pounder to reinstate my manhood.

Three under is cool Kenny..

Flipped some tips today after dinner.

Took the BBO with the riser on out of the heat box. And have the boo ready to glue on another  BBO.

Have the end of the limb tips cut out so I can glue on the horn tips tomorrow.

And I'm sitten here eating Monterey Jack cheese dipped in hot hot mustard and a side of hot peppers with a Coors Light chaser. Cold outside and snowing and blowing, 71 degrees in the house cause the wood burner is cranken on. I love winter time:)

Cut carbons to length...reinforced the front inch of each shaft with some epoxied on footings from 2117 alluminums.  Put on blaze orange wraps so I can find them in the snow and bushes.  All I have to do is fletch em up and go bunny chasing this weekend....hopefully.

I cut a log out of a hackberry tree that I had cut in two a few weeks ago so I could get my ladder stand up. I noticed the rings looked good and planned to get the log when season was over.

Well, it's over so I got the log cut. It's maybe four in. diameter. I want to split, debark and seal it tomorrow. I plan to decrown it and make a flatbow about 52", sinew backed.

Installed a wood burner in the shop today. My little propane heater just wasn't doing the job when it drops down to the 20's. I'll be toasty all winter now and I got some thing to do with all the bows I blow up on the tree during the swap   :knothead:

My goal this year is to only break 2 instead of 10. I sat down and figured I broke at least that many through 2011. I got to leave some room for breakin' a few cause you know what they say.... If you ain't breakin you ain't makin

Most important thing I did yesterday was my wife and I found out we're having a little boy! He will be our first baby and I can't wait to start building bows for him!

Then when I got home I found that I finally got "The Traditional Bowyers Bible Vol. 1" last night. So I grabbed a Samuel Adams Winter logger and started reading. I didn't want to put it down, so I brought it to work today for when things get slow.

I myself bid on and won a 3wt fly rod blank to build for my brother in law (a good man who deserves a nice build)...and reshaped some tips on an old Indian brand longbow that my friend Pete bought at a garage sale.

Congrats!

My top three awesome feelings of all time.
1- the moments when my kids were born
2-taking a deer with my selfbow
3- skydiving

Get ready for a ride.
