Bunny hunt looks like a good time.  Going to have to try that one of these days.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

Got the final pieces for my trade bow from Kenny today (thanks for the quick shipping!), and my brother brought up an old belt sander my grandpa made that I'm going to try to convert into a lam grinder.  If it goes together like I see in my head it'll work fine.
What's the saying, "it looks good on paper"?    :readit:

It might not look good when I'm done, but as long as it works I don't care!    :dunno:

Robert,
Thanks for the pictures of the dust collector. How big an air mover do you need to move enough for 4" pipes to be effective. I have a collector that has 2" pipes hooked up to it. Was thinking of making a first stage like yours for it but using 2" piping.

Came home from school this afternoon and glued a bamboo backing onto a pair of spliced osage billets. It's humid this week so I'll take the clamps off maybe Friday.

I helped a friend getting started on an Osage selfbow and put on some finish and picked out some skins I'm thinking about for the elm.

Wow , been away for a little bit but now that I have seen the "Hunk" photos of Roy, I'm thinking I might have been better off staying away.  :help:
Roy you are a crack up. Some great looking projects going on everyone.  Sorry for being away for a while. The plate has been fairly full lately.

Tonight I worked on the Tri Lam of Boo, Eastern Red Cedar Core, and Osage. This is my first Tri Lam. I love it and the facets went in so easy and my shop smells like a cedar chest:) And the bow looks awesome, it has more curves than Marilyn Monroe had:)

The riser is East Indian Rosewood that Ralphie boy sent me, haven't got it faceted out yet but it sure is purty stuff.

Before the facets.

Nice bow Roy.

I sprayed three bows two lefties and a righty.  Then glued up one for "ME".  Ziricote riser, foam cores, B&W ebony cores.

Thanks I'm at the fire station today kinda wanting to get "MY" new one thinned down and fling some areas.  I drew it back a couple times and she's very smooth. I thought it was around 58 pounds or so.  But curiosity got the best of me.  It scaled 66 pounds.  That foam changed it up some.  Used my normal calcs and it added 10 pounds.  Ill get her trimmed down to my liking.
