Yes it is, what you see there weighs a good 5 or 6 pounds.

My dad would call that feeding strawberries to pigs.
Nice set up though should make the bandsaw a whole lot better tool for you. One of these days I'm going to upgrade my piece of junk for a decent saw.

Did some work on a bow that I hope to have finished for my daughters birthday and put a couple of strings together.

Found out this 64" bow will go to 33" draw without the string getting to square, where stacking usually starts!!

I'd like to shoot it at 33", but I'd have to lay down and hold it with my feet! LOL

I did a belly split off a thick Osage stave and it worked like a charm, so where there was one now there is two. Put some wood glue on the back to seal it.

Should be a real smooth shooter at 28" Kenny.  A good thing your arrows aren't any shorter, LOL.

Broke the back on the American Elm mollie I was working on.  Had it tillered to 28" and was shooting it in when I heard a crack, found a split on the lower limb that started at a group of pin knots.  Had about 40 arrows through it till this happened.  Seemed like a good performer.  American Elm is hard to come by around this area, due to the dutch elm blight.  Will cut more if I can find it.

So Kenny,
Whats the poundage on that one at 33" draw. Does it do any damage to a glass bow to draw it that far. Would hate to damage a bow for ghits and siggles just to see how far it would go. Kind of like seeing how high a roof you can jump off before you hurt your leg. Isn't that right Roy  ;)

Spent Saturday morning scouting osage.  Found one really big sweetheart too big to cut with the available time and labor.  Heading back in a couple weeks to get it.
Take a kid hunting!
