I had to trawl around on the net for a while Kelly but found one courier service for $87 Aus.From US to here have seen some for around $ 75 US. Some guys here importing US bows have paid up to $200+ to get them here. Like anything pays to shop around, Kelly.

Got some good work done on my daughters Osage bow. Will put up some pics later today to get some final tiller opinions. Thinking of flipping the tips a little, but will wait and see what the final tiller looks like. Got to get some tip overlays prepped for it too. Then some work on taxes and more time on some of my swap options. Good day in the shop.

I made it out to my guy and picked up some raw material for bows. ;-)

I'm getting em thawed so I can skin em this weekend.

As a snake guy that pic made me a little sad
I see ball pythons,a burmese python, cooks tree boa, anacondas

at least they will get used in something instead of thrown out.

I got one set of spalted maple limbs glued up- need to get the second set done too. I'm going for two sets- 1 heavy (55-60) 1 lighter (45-50) for one riser.

bigbob2. I thought you had an abundance of snakes in Australia? Some of the worlds most poisonous I have heard. Bue--.

We do indeed, Bue. I think we have at least the top 5 deadliest snakes in the world, and an abundance of others. It hasn't stopped the powers that be from legislating to prevent the killing of any snake what so ever under penalty of a possible huge fine.Up to $20,000 I believe. While I can live with the need to conserve all life, not being able to utilize roadkill and the like is a bit rank!
Trux that riser and limbs are looking terrific1

I made this today -

It is 1080 carbon steel that I heat treated and tempered myself (first time doing it) The blade is 3.75" and the handle is 3.5". I just drew a shape and went with it...
