Today the wife and I took our vehicles to the dealership for routine service. Her Rav needed an oil change. Only cost $25,000.00. She drove home in a 2013 Rav. Women drive nuts  :)

Good idea keeping the lady happy Roy!! Snowin like crazy here. We got about 8 inches so far and its suppose to continue all night long. I hate snow but it will keep the turkeys from getting frisky too early so thats a plus I guess.

went to work, put in 8 hours, got home..The kid I'm mentoring stopped by at 4pm and we glued the tips and an overlay onto his bow..I relized it was still early so I did a quick dry run on a longbow..it went well..I got a bite to eat and I glued the Longbow up and got it in the oven arround 9:30pm..hoping for 35# at 28" a guy at work wants one for his wife...cheaper than an oil change..  :smileystooges:

That's why you change your own oil Roy! It's cheaper that way in more ways than one.

Blew another 9" of snow off the parking lot at work, again this morning. Sure is fun living in the north country. Spring is here and we have 2 fresh feet of snow on the ground, grrrrr. Gonna get some good time in the shop tonight. Flip another tip and scrape some more wood.

I hear ya Roy.

I had two apprentices here today for about seven hours. Rasping away like mad.

Before they got here I went to the candy store today though and looked through the exotics...

They had some awesome stuff in this time and I bought a fee things for tips and a
six foot maple board a full 2 by 10 for cores, backing strips, and selfbows.

Oh yea, got to thinking about Dave's wood and forgot what I did today.

I've got a static recurve limb cooking in the oven right now for my new three piece take down.

I just glued up a bow for my six year old son and it's cooking in the hot box.  It's got black glass and a camo actionwood riser that Kenny dontated to me with my last order.

I'm actually starting two bows this weekend - the one for my son and another for a colleague from work.  I'll take my sons bow off the form tomorrow morning; glue up the other bow; and while it's cookin' I'll shape my son's.  He's helping some too and I'll get some pics of him learning the craft   ;)
