Roy grandkids are what got me started making, kids bows.
I'm spending the night with my youngest daughter and son in law with 4 boys 3 yrs to 10 years old.
The two youngest don't know what quiet is.

after a late breakfast I hit the shop..did a dry run then a glue up on a 66' D/R longbow. glued some tips on the one I glued up thursday afternoon.. after cooking and a cool down I pulled the blank out of the form and did another dry run and glue up on another 66" D/R..it's cooking now, I have a nice timer on the oven so I don't have to turn it off manually.

My mother says that grandchildren are God's gift for not killing your kids.

We all spent Easter over at my sister's place.  I ate too much as usual.

After the big egg hunt with the grandboys I strung this one up and give it a workout on the tree 45@28 and lucky to save it... I think. Any way is started out with a tick while floor tillering you can see the white line

I took a couple rings off and no damage done.

Started a new riser for a "oh crap made a mistake" set of limbs I made.

Main wood is Goncalo Alves, the checker is black walnut and black locust with maple on the sides of the checker.

Roy had to drop the t because he had so much trouble remembering how to spell his name when he was younger. He is kinda shy about it though so don't mention it to him. We don't want anymore man cries from him.   :goldtooth:
( am I back at the top yet or should I add a good "old man joke")

Either that or the "T" wasn't invented when Roy was born.

Lol just in case.   :biglaugh:    :deadhorse:

DVS, I never did like you...

But Man O Man, did I ever just bust Kennys chops 10 minutes ago. Told him the glass limbs he sent for my Buddy  delaminated when we ground them down. I had him squirming, but then I said April Fools. It wuz great too..

Lol Roy. At kennys age a joke like that could turn serious in a heartbeat, or lack there of.

Kenny, you should know better! By the way, my trade bow blew up the other day. What's your warranty on gifted bows?    :readit:

I got to work on my brother's bow a bit after I spent some time on the trade bow.  The charcoal grey actionwood lams Kenny sent look great!

I tried to get a picture of the whole thing

And here's the riser before shaping

Have not been on the bench much these days and this is why.... Reilly Morris, he was born 3/31/13 , 7#8oz.

Guess I better get in the shop and at least finish my trade bow.
