Well got my first Osage bow finished and delivered to its very happy new owner. It was from a stave i got years ago from Ray Cindar. It had some wind checks and issues and was always going to end up very light. So I decided to make it into a kids bow on purpose. Was very clean with only a couple of pin knots and fairly straight, so was not too difficult to work with. I was hoping to get it to 20# @ 20" and that is exactly what I got. I tillered it to 22" to allow for growth in the owner. Best part was she didn't know it was for her but was helping me build it all along. I told her it was for the daughter of a TradGanger who was about her age and size. She helped pick overlays and handle sizes etc. Showed the finished product to her last night and she asked if she could hold it, I told her of "course since its yours" and the slow realization of what I had said ws great. he smile got bigger and bigger as she stared at the bow. Made me feel real good. I now have a very happy daughter. Will post pics tomorrow as mom has the camera and doesn't get back from a trip till tonight.

Glad it got there Ed, they are a great tool and used carefully some guys can do almost all their tillering with them. It will even leave a real nice finish with just a little sanding. But be careful, it can take more off than you want in a real hurry.

Roy, hope you are feeling better soon. Hate to think of you trying to drink that Coors Light through a straw or something. Post a pic of your new smile, got to be better than the old one.  :)

I can make a nice set of wood teeth for you Roy.
I'd sand them down nice so you don't get any slivers and put on a coat of varnish to let that wood grain show.   :goldtooth:

We wouldn't pick on him if we didn't like him.  Besides, when he's down is when it's easiest to kick him.

Who would we have to pick on if we didn't have Roy. For an old scrawny guy he sure has big shoulders. Good luck fitting the new chompers and I still want the photo. I need something else to scare my daughter Karen with.

Today I went shopping. Stopped at Agway and bought 500 pounds of lime, 100 pounds of 10-10-10, and 5 pounds of Red Clover, all to replenish the existing clover plot. Then stopped at Home Depot and bought a screen door and screens for the windows of the Bow Shop.

Got home and the wife and I headed to the clover plot with the quad and tractor. I have a spreader for the Quad, so I open the first bag of lime and here the dirty buggers gave me pulverized lime instead of the granular stuff. The stuff just clogged up the spreader. So I empty the 100 pounds of lime from the spreader into the tractor bucket and add the other 400 pounds. Wife has never driven the tractor, so I gave her a quick demo, put it in low range and low gear and off we went down through the plot. I walked in front of the tractor and spread the lime by hand, that sucked. Had my respirator on though, pretty smart of me, huh? :)  Gotta say it went pretty smooth, but at almost 65, it wasn't a walk in the park. Then put the 100 pounds of 10-10-10 in the spreader and spread it in about 5 minutes. Got even smarter and had the wife spread the 5 pounds of clover seed with the hand spreader while I drank beer and watched her walk up and down the plot:) The deer just devour the clover all year long, and the turkey, rabbits, and ground hogs love it too. Now I TIRED.....
