Looks pretty nice Roy. I'm amazed what you can do with a slowing mind, failing eyesight, a lack of hearing ability, and a general grumpy disposition. You are able to overcome all that and make such "OK" bows... Such an inspiring man.    :biglaugh:

Roy - awesome bow and what a blessed grandson! I know that I have treasured the things that my grandpa did with me. He was a fishing fanatic and made his own flys and jigs and I treasure every one of those that he made for me. Way to be a cool Grandpa!

DVS son, remind me to smack ya when I meet you, cause I'll prolly forget too..

Thanks Cameron, can't wait to hand it to him, he is 10. He doesn't know he's getting a bow:)

Here he is shooting my wife's bow a couple months ago, it was a little bit too much weight for him.

I killed me an elk from horseback today at the Sawmill Tradional Rendezvous

...Since Roy liked the last pic of me shooting from a horse so much I figured I post this one too for the old man to get a chuckle.

Spent most of the past 3 days in the shop.  Got a super cool snaky bow done, just waiting for a handle wrap.  Just started shooting another awesome hunting weight with some character.  Gonna' finish it tomorrow.  And bonus...got my swap bow.  Been a good few days.  Pics tomorrow maybe.
Take a kid hunting!

That's a good start Mr Roy... you better do the dishes and get the vacuum cleaner out after you wash a few loads of laundry and wash and wax her car

Happy Birthday to Ms. Painter! Today I worked on a kids osage selfbow. I am trying to make it for my coworker's son. He turns 5 in august and he loved seeing me shooting a bow that I had made. Figured I had a small 50" stave so I would give a selfbow a shot. Haven't been successful yet so I am crossing my fingers.
Got the stave straightened yesterday and flipped the tips an inch over the last 6 inches. Will have some pictures up after I get the bow to brace. Thinking I am shooting for somewhere between a 3-4 inch brace and to get it around 15# @ 18-20 inches. He is a small lil guy and I want him to be able to grow into the bow.

Pictures to follow sometime later in the week!
