Had a little free time in the shop today and thought this could be something cool, I am now thinking this is what Fred Bear would had made if he went to prison...not sure how to tie in a knife handle into an interchangeable broadheads blade without it looking like a prison shank! Needless to say I don't think I will go further with this project at the time.

Built a crester today from scraps and an old sewing machine motor. Used a dimmer switch I had sitting around for variable speed. Only real cost was $8 for the motor and a few bucks for misc parts. Made a rail system with elevated felt pads based on a spring clamp for easy fine tuning.

Went to the lease today. Found one stand burned by a controlled burn that got out of hand earlier this summer. I had a ground blind near the elevated stand. It was a total lose. Also had two feeders messed up.

Helped another member put up a replacement stand large enough for his daughter to hunt with him.

Cleaned out my camp shack. My wife found a black snake under my pillows when she took the bedding off to be washed!
Wish I'd had a pic of her face! HA ha ha!!!  That little rascal didn't want to be moved at all!

Strung up the new tri lam tonight for the first time. Looks damn sexy to me, but she needs to lose about 15 pounds.

Awesome looking bow Roy. How do you think the cherry will compare to the other woods you've used in tri lams?

That sure is pretty Roy.

It figures that now that bow season is in, and I'm still on mandatory vacation thanks to the government, that it would rain like hell today.  I just came up from cleaning up the basement.  Knocked that one off the "honey-do" list.

Tomorrow should be a nice day to be in the woods and I might take my 6-year-old son out with me in the evening.  We'll see if we can keep his diarrhea-at-the-mouth at bay.

Hey Roy, Did you ever try any of that boo I sent ya? I haven't messed with any of it yet. Heck I hadn't even touched a bow since May. I hope to get back at it as soon as it cools off some more.

Not yet Mitch, it still looks green but I can't see how it could be for as long as I've had it. Maybe it dries to a different color than Moso boo... But on the ends it is a lighter color up about a foot.
