Was working on two new bows. One is a recurve the other is a d/r-bow with a new profile...

Yes. I just love osage, it looks great and you can match it with almost any other wood.

Nice wood combo Andy.  You make some of the best looking bows, you always do a great job of matching woods that really compliment one another and the design of the bow.

Yeah I like the smooth lines, and the flow of the Osage grain contrasted against the zebra seems to complement those.

It'll even look better as the osage color turns a bit with age.

I put on the final touches to a 55# 58" r/d bow today. I was at the Gene Foster Shoot yesterday here in California and was inspired to modify this bow slightly and take the nock width down a touch. I was leaving my nocks 5/8" wide and I took it down to a true 1/2".  I love the look better of the limb and the feel of the bow. I am at 1 3/8" at the limb fades rather than 1.5. So not only did I adjust at the nocks I narrowed the whole limb a bit.

I was actually amazed at how narrow some bows actually are at the tips. Some bows I thought were dangerously narrow...looked way to delicate for my taste. Yet I was challenged to narrow my tips abit and so far I am glad I made the adjustment.

Andy, Cameron,
Very nice bows as usual!  Love the wood combos on both.     Slow day at work here, good to have something to look at for ideas.  Thanks

Today I finally got this grumpy ole Germans tri lam glued up. Hain't he a sweet heart? He got a fat lip cause I smacked him the other day.. LMAO    :)

Pumped in a little more d/r to this one as he requested. Kinda wish I'd have taken it a little more, just for craps and giggles:)

And needless to say, I got the wood burner cranking a bit too much again. I gotta start shutting down the air intake when it hits 60 in the shop instead of waiting till it's 65. Cause by then it's too late. I ended up taking off my shirt while I glued it up. So Pearly Boy got a half naked bow coming his way:) LOL
