I'll bet you are up for the challenge!!  I would be if something I took a lot of pride in making was mistreated like that.  Make um pay!!

I stopped at the post office today, all I got was a card with a number on it to call, they didn't have a clue what I should do. They were no help at all. I can see this is mission impossible. But I am going to pursue all options.  Just isn't right to trust the USPS to send something, then get bullchit answers. But in the end, I guess it's my fault for not using the PVC pipe.

Ya PVC would have made a difference - but you should still be able to send a bow in a box and not get it busted up like that.  Stay on em!

You paid to have it handled carefully ... now it's time to COLLECT!

You just need to stick with it.

Keep at them Roy.
I failed in my only claim. Had sent a bow to Canada and it just disappeared.  After the phone calls up the line was told since they couldn't trace it there would be no payment.
Said my post office had me fill out the wrong customs form.
Offered to give me the cost of insurance back.

Hope the broads he has to cast aren't too heavy!!!   :bigsmyl:
Got two boys in college right now myself! Congrats!

Roy, The tip on the trade bow I sent Goobersan was broken by the USPS. Looked as if someone had thrown the PVC tube like a spear!!! It wasn't hurt as badly as Pearly's , though.  Good luck!

today i worked on a pc of sage. got her to rough shape. heated her and put her on the caul. shot alittle. messed with the video/camera. took some random pics of the shop and filmed my shooting form just for fun. mite try to post a pic or video later (im not very tecie).

do you guys heat and the clamp when reflexing osage? or can a guy clamp into reflex then heat. and im not talking major kinks and twist which would have to be heated first.

weather was great here!

I would heat it first and gradually clamp it down starting at the riser and working towards the tips. Then after all clamped down heat the whole length of the limb well.

I started setting up a better tillering tree in a location I'll be able to make some marks on the wall behind so I can see what's going on better.

Messed around with some dyes that might make hickory look about liked aged osage.

Good luck with USPS Roy...that really SUCKS.

Cut a nice heavy stave of chinese privet, sawed up a bunch of wood I've had spalting and so completely overdid it I can't move.  And I have to start bringing in wood tomorrow.

Nuts to the wheelchair-I'll beat it yet.  Just apparently not today.
