Son and I went out chasing prairie dogs with our 22s and then got out a hickory self bow to try and find a bunny for dinner...pork chops tonight.

Thanks DVS. At least it was just a board and not an osage, yew, ect. stave. I'm hoping to get another board sometime in the near future and jump in again.

On the up side, I started chasing my first osage ring today. Just took the sap wood off then put TB3 on it and letting it sit for a few months. I can already see how this is very addicting. I spent an hour on scraping today and had a blast. I'll defiantly be asking for help when it comes time to actually making the bow.

Yay for shop time before and after the big game. The only thing that would have made it better is if I had a tv in the garage so there would be no interruptions.

I developed a new hatred for Auto repair manual authors, and GMC designers.
Then after supper I put some toutch up finish on the trade bow .

Nate, better the colour of that rasberry beer than the colour of that Coors light he also likes to drink  :scared:
Got some more done evening up the bend in my swap bows limbs. Going to glue on the backing with a couple of inches of reflex, now.

I had to work on this beautiful, warm winter day.    Now that I'm home I'll go spend the last part of the afternoon shaping the tips on my bow.  :D

Keepin my fingers crossed Kenny.

Roy, that's a good looking bow.  How many coats of finish do you usually apply?

Spent a few hours getting my third attempt at the trade bow to floor tiller.....Dan
