Less raspberry beer=wrists that aren't so limp=fewer bows turned into firewood.  ;)

I bought some shock top rasberry beer one time by mistake thinking I was getting Belgian style wheat ale. Tried the rasberry stuff since I had it and literally had to throw the 6 pack away, 5 were full. Just couldn't force it. Enjoy if thats what you like     but not for me ...... yuck.

A couple weeks ago I glued up another r/d bow and I missed weight really bad.  I was shooting for mid to upper 50's and it ended up at 73#.  So I tried something I never did before, trapping the back.  That brought it down to 67#.  I was still ticked off about the weight, so I jut put it in the corner and forgot about it for a while.  Well I was bored this morning and figured I might as well finish it, so I got it to the point I could test fire it.  It's a bit stout for me but it does draw smooth and is shootable.  Maybe it will be my work out bow.  I'll post some pics once its done.

Sanded and sanded last night, and sanded today. I'm getting closer to what I want it to look like.  I will probably have some pics next week.  I've been shooting it alot when the weather permits.  It's a pretty good little flinger so far.

I worked at my second job at the bowling alley all weekend. And then found out I had the wrong sized thread for the flyrod I was building....but I DID do a little cleanup on my workbench so that I could lay out and mark the bamboo for my trade BBI. No Raspberry beer for me this weekend though. Captain Morgan and Pepsi Max after work each day.  Made mine a 44 ouncer too.
I humbly follow in the learned footsteps of those who precede me.

Bad light outside for pics and inside pics just aren't as good!!  :D

Got some ash that may end up in my hunting bow for next year, don't know how to describe it.

Dirty ash? Naw, that don't sound like a good huntin companion!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

They say you need to keep your ash clean or you could develop ash-rot.
