Had work call and say they are sending me out of town for a few days.  I'll be scouting for hogs around Ft. Lenard Wood soon.  But no bows for A few days, I'll be bust this weekend for sure.

Hope you get over the illness soon, Scot.
Yeah, Roy, that is kinda cute!

Re-glued the hickory backing on my osage board for the trade. Use more glue and clamps this go 'round.

Once completed with that little task I started working on my back-up stave again.  Still trying to chase down to a single growth ring. This stave has a slow reflex on the lower "trunk" end. I'll probably try to heat is out and then put more evened flipped tips on both ends. It's a fairly clean stave with only a few pin knots and some gentle curves.

Roy, that picture made me spit out good whiskey!  I sanded down the horn handle today, and tonight I"m going to try and put a skin on the bow.

open up a package today from Jon Warwick aka mustang that contained my stave press. I can't wait to put it to use. I will get some pics up once I get it mounted and using it.

Dave give Roy back his shirt    :nono:

Nice DV!!!!

Somebody around here or maybe a bunch of somebody’s said it doesn’t take much Osage to make a bow.

I had the bottom of an Osage stave I had cut out for another project so I thought I'd put the theory to the test. I got a sweet little shooter 46@27 61"s and got to tell you this yellow wood is the stuff!! This thing had splits, cracks, knots, twist and was almost no wood at all!! It ain’t got it’s fixins yet but I almost wore it out shootin it!!!
