Whew! Just got home from a trip to the Louisiana Purchase Zoo in Monroe, LA. My wife had the great idea to take her cousin's 3 yr old to the zoo.
After a night of toe nails and little girt heels in the back we tried to impress the little darlin' with marmosettes, lemures, lions, and gators. She liked the snake house the best.
The moral of the story is... I'm too damned old!
Zoo time is for younger folks.

Had a rookie here yesterday attempting his 3rd bow. The first selfbow broke after he had about 50 shots through it, the second selfbow he messed up rasping and got the limb too thin in one spot. So he finished it out for his wife, Debbie. So he's working the 3rd bow on the tree and we were talking about his first two failures at bow making. Then he said if I keep going the way I am, Debbie is going to have about 10 bows! Well I lost it, I was laughing so hard, I had tears in my eyes, I was bent over holding my stomach cause it was hurting so bad:) I laughed all the rest of the day every time I thought about what he said. An hour or so later he would be talking and what he said would come back to me and I would start laughing all over again.. But he has this BBO to 14 inches on the tree and it is looking very sweet.

Got to love perseverance!! He got a shooter....     I guess his teacher is ok

Finishing up my third Osage but I'm keeping this own.... gave the rest away. I put a little sweep on the ends. Draws real nice and puts them right where I look. I can really see how this Osage could get hold of ya   :)

Still got a little steel woolin to do but put 50 or 60 arrow thru it today when it was naked....
