Binghams will not be offering Green Glass
« on: December 29, 2011, 03:08:00 PM »
Just FYI, I talked to them today and it appears the glass maker is having troubles with the green. Instead they are selling solid Green Actionwood laminations to go under clear glass if you want a green limb.

That's too bad.  A lot of guys really like the green glass and it's starting to grow on me.  Green actionwood under clear glass just doesn't seem like an adequate substitute to me.

I stopped a Binghams last week and picked up a block of green actionwood, it really looks better than it sounds. I'm not sure how it will look as a limb, but I'm getting ready to find out how it works as a riser. I'm thinking a curly maple accent strip with black glass.

I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming

Greg, it should look like the Bob Lee "Envy".

I wanted Green Actionwood for a long time and I almost ordered $600 worth last week, glad I waited! I ordered a couple blocks today myself. I never have liked the multi colored stuff, the Green will be a nice addition to the Gray and Brown.

I think Black glass with the maple accents would look sharp! Be sure to post some pics when you are done with it.
