snakeskin backing on on 3 piece recurve
« on: January 02, 2012, 09:31:00 PM »
I have a Bob Lee Hunter 64" take-down recurve that I would like to place a snakeskin backing on. Does anyone have experience with putting snakeskin on a 3 piece? How hard is it to get the limb washers out? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you are asking about getting out limb washers as I dont have a BobLee bow.
The snake skins go on pretty easy with info here if you do a search. One thing you need to make sure you put on a finish that will work with the skins, one set I did I top coated with ML Campbel Kyrystal on the finish lifted so I had to redo them, then I used tru-oil on them. I was told you can alo put Thunderbird on them but I havent tried that.
