My bow has lost a bit more weight due to shooting in, so now it's a few pounds below the minimum target weight. So here's what I'm going to do. Over the last few days I cut out 2 riser blanks, one from walnut and one from white oak. Then I cut and glued, cut and glued, etc. alternating oak and walnut to end up with 2 real nice risers. I'm going to build 2 more bows and send the best of the three to **.
The weather was too cold to work in the garage this weekend, so I spent yesterday skeet shooting with friends (kicked their butts btw)
and today I helped my Brother-in-law install some kitchen cabinets.
This week the weather will be warmer so I'll be cutting and planing lams.
Dave.
