Dang Roy! I was super excited looking at the bow, then I got to reading and it is a lefty.  Well I am sure another nice bow is in the works that I can also drool over.

He is just a baby 5 x 5 Brock, but he was my first Elk with a bow. Had a chance at a huge 7 x 7 the day before at 8 yards, but a rookie mistake cost me:) New Mexico 1994...

Nice looking bow Roy.  Clever using your own hair for silencers. What a great idea!

LMAO!!
My guess is his beard gets cauget in the string while firing and he just moves it up or down the string instead of trying to pull it out.

Roy I really like the way that one turned out...  what a good lookin shooter!!!

I have only used leather or nothing at all for my bow grips. I was watchin the tube with my wife and braided some hemp string. What do you think? I feels a bit course but makes a pretty non slip grip? I just wrapped it around the grip for a look...  I can still use some horn or bone for a rest if I want with it....

Coaster That little yew bow I posted a while back had a hemp wrap and I grew to like it real well.

I soaked it in watered down TB3 and it worked real well.

 Nice looking sticks folks.

Looking forward to how your boo backed pecan turns out B.

I get the itch real bad after I glue up a bow.   It gets too close to being finished.  Even when I am super busy.  Last night I had dinner at 10 because I wanted to clean up and get the bow to a good floor tiller.  Here she is pulled back to 45#'s.

I didn't level the bow when I took the pic but so far she bending evenly.
