Yah , teach them dogs to chew up my archery targets.    :nono:    I have a bunch of wood arrows for my 40# long bow but that was the only wood arrow that was a good mate for this 53# bow. I am going to have to make some new wood arrows this weekend for this bow because I am not going to disrespect this bow with my lite carbon arrows. Once again thank you kip and I could no of gotten a better bow!

Keenan: Can I just say that I'm drooling over that vine maple!  I think I should always tell my wife first that I'm looking at bows when I point at the computer and say "hey come look at these curves!"

64"s Wayne and I was worried it would not be enough for Ralph"s 29" draw. I left it 3#s over his weight as I figured it would shoot into the slot for him. I used dry heat and oil but only had to bend one end to match the other that was bent naturally. I also added some reflex with dry heat but as usual I was chicken and didn't use enough? it it came back to it's original slight deflex but made for a cool profile, at least to me. The tip held great but it's non bending.

Ralph, you kinda-sorta look like I felt last year after receiving my first trade bow! Man, you got a good lookin' bow! Great job, Kip. I like everything about that yew bow.

Outstanding bows. Just outrageous!

Finally got started on my trade bow this afternoon. My material came in from 3rivers today. Once I got home from school I cut the osage board and hickory backing to length. Cut the handle blank down a little and selected a couple of short osage blocks for tip overlays.

I've been working on planing bamboo down but haven't gotten the hang of that yet. So I'll just stick with the hickory for now.

Should get the glue up together Friday afternoon and start removing what isn't part of the bow Saturday.

All I can say is I got super lucky this year and thanks for all you kind comments on my new bow. On the other hand, I have had a few problems with this bow. First off this a very busy week at school and I was not able to shoot it today and the bigger problem is my bow rack only has a place for 6 bows and I had to take one of my personal bows and re locate it to the shop so I had room for my new bow   :)

This one will have a new home soon.

Ignore that ugly form, that elbow doesn't open any further than that due to an old injury. Thats why I shoot lefty!
