I've got 4 bows in the works and at some point each was gonna be my trade bow.  I just can't make up my mind which one!

Wowee, folks...some great looking bows are being turned out this year!  :)

Shawn: what material did you use for those tip overlays?

Dino: I don't want to get too excited, but I happen to shoot XX pounds at XX inches!!!    :D

Curt thats a acrylic 3/4 x 3/4 pen blank from wood crafters store.  They had every color imaginable. I used my take down wedge jig to cut it at that angle on my band saw and just glued it on.

It's working so far.

Great bows, fellas. Sorry I missed yours earlier, Keenan. Really awesome.

I've slowly tillered my trade bow to 26" and 2-3 lbs over weight. I'm not rushing this one a bit.

Got a couple more inches of tillering and lots more shooting but I think it's gonna make the grade. Hope ******* doesn't get too antsy waiting!

I mailed my PA trade bow yesterday and hope to send the Trad Gang bow next week. It's all built, just needs the finishing touches. This swap has done wonders for my bowmaking skills. I finally got out of my comfort zone and learned that it's not all that uncomfortable out there after all. There are still some things I'm not ready to try, but nowhere near as many as there used to be. Thanks to the organizers for setting this up and thanks to all of you for getting me off my boney little butt and doing something new.    Rob
Don't know how I got here and don't know where i'm going, but life is grand.

I'd like to thank the person(s) that encouraged me to use a rope and pulley system when tillering. It saved me a headache and/or other physical ailments this morning.  :banghead:

I was meticulously tillering out to 27" when suddenly there was only 2/3 of the bow on the tiller tree! The other 1/3 was across the garage with a trail of slender splinters marking its flight to freedom!

Needless to say, I'll be starting another bow in the near future.  I'm not skilled enough to complete the selfbow I jokingly referred to as "plan D" earlier. So, ******, I hope you don't mind waiting a few weeks longer for your bow...

ok I am back from FL and am tracking dinorocks and sporhunter shipping their bows and adeeden receiving his bow. Are there any others I am not tracking.

There seems to be plenty bows almost done. I will get some more pics up of where I am at. I will work on getting the tips a little better aligned so I can start the tillering process.

Good work everyone.

Ok here is what I left when my leave started the ends flipped.

From both ends.

As you can see I have some twist to get rid of and some crook in on limb. I think it looks worse then what it is.

I will try and get the twist out this weekend.
