Finally got my trade bow glued up Tuesday night and worked all day on it Thursday. Got it shaped and put a string on and came out 3 lbs. over. I still have to narrow the limbs and do some more sanding but it's getting there. Walnut and birds eye maple. 58 inch, xx @ 28. Shot a few arrows too  Here's a few pix. You guys sure do some nice work. Sorry to here about your injury Dino, my daughter did that last summer, not fun.

Bone Lake - Beautiful and whoever gets it will be like a kid on Christmas morning.

Man, I really think the bar has been raised this year on all the bows - wood and glass bows alike.

Great job everyone!

bone,
That is a very nice bow also.

Well I just got my bow heated up again and am trying to get the tips to line up a bit.

Here is the pics of my attempts so far.

this is where the it really started binding.

I used my caul and put some branches in the holes and also clamped down the end. I clamped to try and keep it from twisting. Heated it up and use 550 cord to hold the other end in place once I get it pulled so the tip was just past center.

Who needs a work bench a good vice seems to make a world of difference. Once it cools off a bit I will post pics up of how well it worked.
