Back in my day we were too busy hunting dinosaurs to take part in a bow swap. Also, we treated our elders with respect. If they dodged the dinosaurs long enough to be an elder, they deserved respect.
Don't know how I got here and don't know where i'm going, but life is grand.

I got home from work today and I find a box in the kitchen and it's from Jason Hansen.  It was the GFA quiver he had for sale in the classifieds that I bought. So that made my evening - I had something new to play with.  I get ready to sit down for dinner and my wife said as serious as can be that she had an accident today in my "Man Room".  I thought "Oh crap! She broke the glass in my corner gun cabinent or knocked all my bows off the rack".  I went up ther and found this.  She was messing with me.

It was from David (Trux) Turning from NM and my evening just got even better.

After dinner I opened up my new toy.

This is one beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Awesome wood combinations and not a flaw anywhere that I can find.  A real professional job right down to the unique side plate.

Here's some outside pics in natural light with my new GFA quiver.  I think they go good together.

Here's the obligatory full draw pic (Of course I had to sport my Trad Gang short brim cap.)

She shoots my douglas fir arrows like a laser. I usually don't get too concerned about speed, but this bow is far and away the fastest bow I own. And is accurate too.

My kids saw my excitement with this new bow and it inspired them to put down their Wii controllers and come outside to fling a few with Dad.

I'm as happy as a man can be with a new bow   :bigsmyl:

Trux - The bow is AWESOME and I am blown away by your work.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I feel sorry for the rest of you guys, because I'm positive I just received the best bow of the swap.  ;)

You lucky dog John, I got a bow from Trux last year and know what your talking about. My son killed a buck with it last fall and I can't pry it out of his hands, He's building a bow for himself now and I hopefully will get it back. Brush Wolf that bow looks great! If one of the old guys get it they'll probably piss there pants!! I need to get some tips and overlays glued on my swap bow today and hope to finish it up soon if the turkey hunting don't take up to much time. Great work everyone, lot of nice bows being made.
