Not sure what bow will end up where out of the three that I am working on. Both guys that I drew have very close to the same draw length and poundage range. Guess I'll have to see who like fish and who likes snakes.  I am loving the snake backed Cascara and have the tiller looking good but still a bit heavy. It will be fun to see what the carp looks like on ERC. The Snaky VM is still very snaky and just starting to bend good.

Ok I did very little to my bow but what I did makes me happy.

When I put the curves in I lifted a splinter on one side. (My mistakes yes mistakes I am sure I went to fast on that side and I did not round off the belly corners.)

here is the splinter.

As you can seen not splinter or crack.
I put CA glue in it like Pat suggested I do in a PM I sent when I thought I really screwed up. the crack did run across the belly, but with a rasp, and sand paper I found it was only one growth ring. So I was able to remove it with out any trouble.

Kelly, looks like it lifted the splinter on the edge where there was a bit of runoff. If the tips are left thicker and wider generally these like of splinters will be removed when the tips are finally shaped. The super glue is basically insurance so if all of the crack aren't removes the will be secure with the glue so it shouldn't continue.

Kelly It looks like you left room for some removal.

Swap looks like it is going well and lots of shavings have been made.  Love what I'm seeing.

I've been known to add snake skins to save on sanding out tool marks.

Pat that was the worst side but a crack did run across the whole belly. I rounded the belly enough there just to get rid of the splinter and removed just a little off the belly just a ring. I know it does not take much to get it to bending. I can't really scrap yet with my hand in this cast but that crack was bothering me so now it is gone.

I can't wait to see the rest of the bows in this years swap. We only have 71 folks waiting on bow by my count.
