Thanks for the encouragement hopefully the weather is decent this weekend and I can get out. 100 arrows it is. You're definately right pearl and untested bow is just a stick .... Or firewood in disguise.

Well got in 20 scraps on each limbs and they have some flex. Not much more then a floor tiller. I hope to be on a short string before the weekend is out.

Oh I there are 4 bows in the mail.

I got a gift today.... I was a little puzzled to see a small box about 40 inches long.It said archery gear ???? I was totally shocked to see what was inside. I never in a million years expected this. A nice little recurve...wow Thanks Perry. I was like a little kid at toys are us...lol. I was running around the house trying to find my allen wrenches. Here's a few pics.
I'll need to do a little fine tuning, but she spits em out.
Rick.

I should think she "spits'em out"! Or did you stab those arras into the target by hand, Rick? LOL! She's a nice looking bow! Congrats.  :clapper:

Shot the trade bow in today and it was great. Shoots like a dream ... Very smooth. Could be faster ... But it's not slow. I tend to shoot fairly heavy arrows ... These were 550gr. Anyway put it on a scale and it was actually not 45 but about 50-52#. That's within the specs anyway.
Turns out range time was free since I let the owner and his buddy shoot it in with me (turned out to have the same draw lengths as the recipient!) and talked vintage Bear recurves with them. Got to see a pristine 50s grizzly dual shelf with the static tips .... Man that was nice.
I'm gonna hate to see this one go.... I'll have to make another for myself soon.

I was FINALLY able to get a string long enough to work on my trade bow, so over the next week I will be to get the first shots through it.  If it holds up, the grip and finish should be done quickly.

Well that one brings us up to 34% complete.

I worked late so I did not get any scrapes done.

Recurve that is sweet bow to receive for sure.

Made progress today. Trying to maybe... MAYBE get it done by next weekend for compton. Went and got a drill press today after getting paid earlier in the week, so now i can get some real progress. Buying a band saw this weekend. Can't wait to get started with my own tools. Here's what i've got so far:

Little Ben I say that every time I make another bow!  I have yet to own one of my own bows... unless you count my wife's.

I've got the same drill press just twenty years or so older. Still works great.
