Oh why don't I do a better job at rigging the draw.   :dunno:

But I know ***** is drooling just hoping and wishing that, that very bow is heading there way.

I also got one of the two rings scraped off mine stave. I hope to get the other off tomorrow.

I will leave the pics posting up to the new owner Kelly. I dont want he/she to have any sort of clue as to whats on the front porch in that long package! I cant think of very many other names that I could have drawn that would have been as cool as who I got. Lucky me! Take me off your late list guys.

Thanks Kenny , I was thinking my spliced veneers were lookin good till I saw yours. That is freeking cool! Can't wait to see the finished product. I have many times thought about rippin a nice pice of cocobolo in half , rotating 90 deg. and gluing  back together so that it looks like the grain lines come to a point in the center and are symmetrical on each side. I may have to play with that on my next bow

We will just go with this is a "possibility" for someone.  Both billets were cut Sept 2010 and are 42" so there is some fudge factor room.  I followed a growth ring on both tonight and worked both knots.  Started around 10pm and it's now 1:30am ish.  Y'all can send me any unwanted problem staves.  I love working some ugly stuff.

Its not about time, its about good tools! You can use the cheap stuff and spend 2 weeks, or use the good stuff and spend a day!
