ok so I made a bonehead mistake really made myself sick for a min. I came home from work tonight and went to work on the bow and cut the shelf at center line and not the line I had for the shelf.  I had a few holy crap moments and now working on fixing it. I flattened out an 1and 1/4 in area and epoxying a block of hard wood in to place the go from there do yall think this will work any suggestions i wont get the epoxy till tomorrow

Inksoup - stay safe and take care of business - the Swap can wait.

The bows keep looking better and better and the lessons are invaluable.  If you broke one, you are in GOOD company.

Hi guys, just got home from a morning of musky fishing and followed the mail lady in the driveway,I spotted a long tube in the window of her blazer and hoped that was the package for me, and it was! I got a bamboo backed longbow 66 1/2" long and 52@27. Thank you Kevin Hartman, I'll get pics up soon as I can. It may be a while before I can shoot it due to a bad shoulder but am looking forward to it. My trade bow is finished  and will be sent out soon.

Was practicing with my bow in the backyard just a few minutes ago. I heard the UPS truck moving up my street. (They have a distictive sound!) But, alas, it stopped at the neighbor's door... Then I heard someone asking about my house number!
I walked down the driveway to meet the delivery person...
Rats! It was a package containing a computer cord for my son!!!

One more. Can't wait to shoot it, but need to heal a little first. Thanks again Kevin. What is it made of?

Bone that is a great looking bow for sure.

Well I have it pulling out to 28" and I really don't have any wiggle room on weight. I really will look at it and put it on the tree the tiller looks off but the gizmo says I am close. In this pic it looks good I think.

I still have a lot of work. the handle I want to heat it up and add some recurve to counter the set.

Nice bow Bones!!

Looks like a shooter Kelly  ....  but won't curvin the limbs induce more set at this point??

Wow!   Unfortunately, I only have access to the phone now, I will post pictures later.  There was a package on the porch last night and I am one lucky guy.   Their have been a lot of pictures posted of some nice bows, but  the one I received is one of the best, if not the best.  Also, it shoots super smooth.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Well we are up to 39% complete with 35 bow received and 52 still awaiting but we also have 3 still in the mail.

Coaster I don't know really I am just PMing other and the set has not gotten worse. I think tried bending it to far in the beginning with the hinge. but we shall see what is the worse that can happen. I have to start Plan C. I really hope not.

Bone Lake..

The bow has a bamboo back...with maple and bamboo lams and belly of osage...handle is purple heart.. It shoots a heavy arrow really well.  It took about an inch of set in the limbs, but that was after about 200 arrows...hope it fits...

I always wanted a bamboo backed bow, they just look cool. It'll be a while before I get to shoot it due to a bum shoulder, guess I'll have to work on some heavy arrows in my free time. Thanks again Kevin I'll give it a good home here.
