Stay away from the fades, especially the left. Get those mid limbs bending a bit more.

Ruddy, ya need them mid limbs bending more like Pat said. If you stand there and work the bow on the tree, I'll bet if you watch the ends of both fades, you will see them bending a lot right there, compared to the rest of the limb. Check out the mid limb bend on this bow at a 6 inch brace. Do you notice the end of the fades is hardly even bending.

Ruddy, it will come to ya all of a sudden, and you will say, why didn't I see that before. When a bows limbs bend, they should bend in an even arc right from the first pull on the tree. If it doesn't, then you gotta make it do that before ya pull it any further. The gizmo is the ticket my friend.

sorry I haven't posted lately but computer took a dump. I'm on my new one and need to load the camera software so I can upload pic's. I'm going to be cutting it close. It's tillered to 26" and is 48#s at that length. I only need to go a few more inches. I'm going back to the shop and shoot her in some more.

i got my tradebow to 18" of draw and took some pics . i was in the process of exercising the bow and it exploded in my hands. i forfeit my bow that i received from Pearldrums to my recipient. it will be in the mail soon.i am aware that there is a 30 day grace period from ship date deadline . i wont make it. i will not be a hova. rv

First,
Let me apologize to DVSHunter for not following up as promised on my short post acknowledging receipt of his bow.

Dave, The bow is Awesome!

The bow had a tiny bit of vibration when first strung and shot, but disappeared after adjusting the brace height, now it is smoooooth. It easily handles my 28 ½” – 29” draw. The craftsmanship is exceptional and the skived leather grip is a really nice touch, it looks great and it is comfortable. Working leather like that is beyond my current abilities, but seeing this handle wrap in person has inspired me to try one sometime. I think Dave might have done some research on my preferences and as the bow was built almost exactly how I build my Selfbows (when I can find a straight stave); narrow tips, pretty tip overlays, bulbous handle, and backed with python snakeskin. The python is appreciated as I have backed several donation bows with python but neglected to keep one for myself before my source for python snakeskins ran out of them.

Dave, once again,

YOU DONE GOOD….REAL GOOD!

I foresee a few critters meeting their demise from this bow.

Slow going on this one, it can't end like the first few. This HHB stave has been difficult getting to bend, with the difference in reflex between the limbs. There are also some knots in both limbs near the tips.
I still have a full width handle, shaping it will be the last thing I do.

I just did some pulls, and took video. The tips are only moving maybe 5" on short string. I am hoping for some of those seasoned eyes to let me know what they see. The last bit of scraping I have done is to the left limb.

The bow is 64" ttt, 1.5" out to 8" from tips, then tapered to 5/8".
